Description
This study proposes a digital skills intensity index to measure the average number of digital skills used by a worker, based on their International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO) occupational classification. Unlike the PIAAC and ICT Survey, skills are assessed based on occupation, rather than measured or self-reported. The digital skills intensity index can be applied in combination with the EU Labour Force Survey (EU-LFS) to obtain digital skills intensities for sub-samples of the EU-LFS using sample weights.
