EAfA webinar to launch new toolkit to strengthen adult apprenticeships

The European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA) invites stakeholders to a dedicated webinar presenting the new EAfA Toolkit on Adult Apprenticeships. This event will address the need to support adult learners to upskill and reskill through apprenticeships in Europe’s ever-evolving labour market, in response to demographic shifts and the twin green and digital transitions.

Why do adult apprenticeships matter?

Over the last 50 years, Europe has faced a declining working-age population and rapid changes in the world of work. Adult apprenticeships offer flexible, work-based learning opportunities tailored to the needs of adult learners, supporting both individual career development and wider economic resilience. Despite its potential, participation in adult learning remains insufficient, with significant disparities across EU Member States and underrepresentation of key groups such as low-skilled adults, older workers, and those outside the labour force.

About the EAfA Toolkit 

Designed as a practical resource, the new EAfA Toolkit provides clear, step-by-step guidance to help stakeholders design, implement and monitor apprenticeship programmes that appeal to adults. The toolkit targets policymakers, VET providers, Public Employment Services (PES), and companies, and provides practical examples, relevant resources, and tools to inspire action and support continuous improvement across all stages of adult apprenticeship development.
