Biography

Alima is a resilient entrepreneur and a professional stylist whose journey exemplifies the power of social inclusion and the social economy. After arriving in Spain 28 years ago, she established herself in Mallorca in 2013. As a single mother, she sought opportunities to achieve financial independence and professional growth, leading her to join Treball Solidari’s "Confía" Program in 2021 as part of the "Elastic" group.

Her participation in the "Regula" Program in 2023 marked a turning point in her career, enabling her to regularize her status by becoming a self-employed professional. She developed a successful business plan focused on specialized hair styling, including wigs and braids. Having graduated from the four-year program in June 2025, Alima has not only built a sustainable business but has also successfully completed her first business renewal. Her experience serves as a powerful case study for the European Forum on Employment and Social Rights, demonstrating how microfinance and tailored mentorship can transform the lives of vulnerable women, fostering integration through entrepreneurship and dignified work.
