Biography
Koen Vleminckx is a Policy Adviser and Researcher with over three decades of experience in social protection and labour market policy. He began his career at the Herman Deleeck Centre for Social Policy (University of Antwerp) and later served as Operations Manager at the LIS Cross-National Data Center in Luxembourg, contributing to pioneering research on income inequality. After earning his PhD at KU Leuven, he held senior roles at Belgium’s Federal Public Service Social Security, promoting evidence-informed policymaking. He is currently Director of Scientific Development, as well as Secretary of Belgium’s Interfederal Technical Working Group on Administrative Data Exchange, BelAccess, advancing access to high-quality data for policy innovation. He is currently Guest Professor of International Social Policy at KU Leuven.
