Biography
Bea Cantillon is Emeritus Professor of Social Policy and member of the Herman Deleeck Centre for Social Policy at the University of Antwerp. Her research focuses on the effectiveness and legitimacy of social protection systems, with particular attention to minimum income schemes, employment policies, and redistribution. Cantillon has advised national and international institutions, including governments, the European Commission, and the OECD, and has published widely in leading academic journals and policy reports. She is Secretary General of the International Foundation for Social Security,Chair of University Centre Saint-Ignatius Antwerp, member of the Belgian High Council for Employment, fellow of the Royal Belgian Academy of Sciences and of the British Academy.
