Biography
IKateryna Bornukova is an Economic Analyst in the Fiscal Policy Analysis team at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission in Seville, where she works on the development and maintenance of EUROMOD and contributes to tax-benefit policy impact assessments. Her research interests lie in social policy analysis and evaluation, with emphasis on inequality, child poverty, and minimum income policies.
Before joining JRC in 2023, she worked on the impact of fiscal policies on inequality and multidimensional poverty in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, collaborating with the World Bank, United Nations, and UNICEF as a Consultant, and contributing to capacity building for researchers and practitioners.
Kateryna holds a PhD in Economics from University Carlos III of Madrid and an MA in Economics from Kyiv School of Economics.
