Biography
Manuel Serrano-Alarcón is a Policy Analyst at the Competence Centre on Microeconomic Evaluation (CC-ME) of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission. He coordinates the Centre for Research on Impact Evaluation (CRIE), a joint initiative from JRC and DG EMPL to promote the use of counterfactual impact evaluation techniques in European Social Fund (ESF) policies. He has a PhD in Public Health/Health Economics from NOVA University of Lisbon and has hold teaching positions at leading European Universities such as Bocconi University, Pompeu Fabra University and Bicocca-Milano University.
