Biography
Jeremias Adams-Prassl is Professor of Law and Associate Dean (Research) in the Faculty of Law, Oxford University, and a Fellow of Magdalen College, having read law at Oxford, Paris and Harvard Law School. He currently leads a five-year interdisciplinary project exploring algorithmic management, funded by the European Research Council and a 2020 Leverhulme Prize.
Jeremias’ research on innovation policy and labour markets is frequently drawn on by governments and international organisations, and has been cited by courts, policy documents, and news organisations in multiple jurisdictions. He is the author of over 100 articles and books, including the award-winning Humans as a Service: The Promise and Perils of Work in the Gig Economy (2018), which has been translated into multiple languages. Jeremias' work has been recognised by prizes including the Wedderburn Prize, a British Academy Rising Star Engagement Award and an ESRC Outstanding Impact in Public Policy Prize.
