The National Centre for TVET Development hosted their online peer review on 19-20 March, focusing on their mechanism for the evaluation and monitoring of public policies in initial vocational education and training. Nine EQAVET Network members from Belgium-fr, Finland, Lithuania, Serbia and Slovakia acted as peer reviewers.

The mechanism incorporates a set of quantitative and qualitative indicators, with data gathered through the recently launched ReConect platform. ReConect integrates multiple national databases from the education and labour market sectors, creating a comprehensive dataset that, for the first time, enables insights into learner trajectories across the education and training system up to graduation. The platform follows learners also after graduation, in time, to offer information on their professional and educational status several years after graduation.

The peer review provided an opportunity to discuss the data collection process and the selection of indicators informing this mechanism. Participants also explored strategies to improve stakeholder response rates and key success factors for linking data collection with analysis and policy review.

Additionally, a separate report containing detailed feedback from the peer reviewers will be shared with the host country.
