Finland will become the focal point of discussions on green talent recruitment and private-public partnerships in the bioeconomy sector. A two-day event, taking place on February 4th and 5th in Jyväskylä and Saarijärvi, will bring together experts, educators, employers, and policymakers to explore innovative solutions to labor market shortages and recruitment challenges in the green sector.
The event, hosted by the EU-funded GREENVEU project and EVECSA (CoVE on Climate Smart Farming), will provide participants with practical insights into recruitment strategies, vocational education and training (VET) models, and multi-stakeholder collaboration in the Finnish bioeconomy.
Day 1: Green Talent Recruitment (February 4, Jyväskylä)centres
Organized by the GREENVEU project, the first day will focus on attracting and retaining green talent. Attendees will engage in insightful discussions, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities while exploring the GREENVEU recruitment toolbox—a resource designed to support organizations in finding and recruiting new talent.
Day 2: Private-Public Partnerships in the Finnish Bioeconomy (February 5, Saarijärvi)
Hosted at the Bioeconomy Campus in Saarijärvi and led by EVECSA, the second day will provide an in-depth look into Finland’s VET system and its role in advancing sustainability. Interactive sessions and campus tours will showcase how education institutions, businesses, and government bodies collaborate to address labor shortages and enhance recruitment efforts in agriculture and the broader bioeconomy sector.
