MISSOC, the Mutual Information System on Social Protection, is an indispensable online information source offering timely and comparable insights into the social protection systems of European countries.

The information comes from a network of officials from national ministries and institutions responsible for administering social protection which is coordinated by the MISSOC Secretariat on behalf of the European Commission.

The database can be consulted in English, French and German and access is free and open to all.

For this update, the information in Table XII – Long-term care has been revised to ensure completeness and consistency of information across countries. The interactive map below highlights the types of support available to informal carers providing long-term care in the countries covered by MISSOC.
