The #MySocialRights video competition started in November 2021. Focusing on young people aged 18-30 living in the EU, it provided participants the opportunity to tell what social rights means to them in a form of a video-diary.

From the submitted entries, the jury selected five finalists and shared their videos on Facebook. The videos with most likes and shares won.

Winning videos

As a winner, Patryk can choose one of the following prizes: a Go-Pro camera, a 22-day Interrail Global pass, or a donation to a charity. As runners-up, Ausma and Ελένα each have a choice between a polaroid camera, a 10-day Second Class Interrail Global pass, or a donation to a charity.

Thanks to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of the competition!

Background

With the European Pillar of Social Rights, the European Commission aims to build a fairer and more inclusive European Union.

The 20 principles of the Pillar show the way towards a strong social Europe that is fair, inclusive and full of opportunity.

To help turn the principles into reality, the Commission is working to engage Europeans on social issues and increase awareness of a social Europe.

In line with these goals, the #MySocialRights Video Competition aimed to launch a conversation on a social Europe and the European Pillar of Social Rights with young Europeans, increasing their awareness on social issues through their creative inputs, and engaging them on EU topics, including social affairs and the future of Europe.
