High-Level Conference on the European Pillar of Social Rights

The Commission welcomes the adoption of two Council Recommendations on early childhood education and care & on affordable high-quality long-term care, as part of the European Care Strategy at yesterday’s meeting of employment and social affairs ministers (EPSCO).

The European Employment and Social Rights Forum took place on 16-17 November in Brussels. This first edition of the event focused on how to achieve a fair and inclusive green transition for all. The Forum also celebrated the 5th anniversary of the European Pillar of Social Rights.

Five years after the proclamation of the European Pillar of Social Rights at the Gothenburg Summit in 2017, the Commission has put forward more than 130 initiatives to implement the Pillar and deliver a social Europe that is fair, inclusive and full of opportunities.

Register now for the first European Employment & Social Rights Forum on 16 and 17 November 2022, where European Commission representatives, Ministers and academics, together with policymakers and stakeholders will discuss the current societal challenges and opportunities of the green transition.

The European Commission has published the easy-to-read version of the European Pillar for Social Rights and its Action Plan. Easy-to-read texts are designed to be understood by people with intellectual disabilities.

The European Commission announced the five finalists of the #MySocialRights video competition. In a week, the winner will be selected based on the public vote.
