Social innovation for zero long-term unemployment - towards an EU-wide response

New figures from the PES Network survey in November 2023 show that Public Employment Services continue to support the integration of displaced people from Ukraine.

Representatives of 20 countries of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) met in Berlin at the 15th Regional Platform on Employment and Labour. The discussion involved representatives of social partners and focused on youth employment as well as on the state-of-play of the implementation of the 2022 UfM Marrakech Ministerial Declaration and the new declaration to be issued in 2024

Public Employment Services (PES) are one of the main actors to help integrate displaced people from Ukraine in the labor market. According to their last survey, the number of persons displaced from Ukraine registered at PES remains stable, with some country variations.

The 14th UfM Regional Platform on Employment and Labour took place on 14-15 March in Nice, France. The main objective of the meeting was to discuss the implementation of the UfM Ministerial Declaration on Employment and Labour.
