Executive Vice-President Roxana Mînzatu hosted a Youth Policy Dialogue in Brussels on 3 March 2026, in the margins of DG EMPL’s annual flagship event - the European Employment and Social Rights Forum.

The discussion focussed on the cost of living, exploring what it means for young people to build a life in Europe today and addressing the challenges linked to economic disparities and the affordability of essential goods and services.

Participants shared their prospectives on the expenses that most affect their everyday lives, and discussed how salaries, job security, and career prospects influence their economic stability. The dialogue also examined access to affordable housing and reflect on the types of support young people need most.
