The second meeting of this PES Network Working Group (WG) discussed the integration of Ukrainian refugees and the update of the Network paper ‘PES Key Considerations on Labour Market Integration of Refugees’. The meeting took place in Oslo (Norway) and was hosted by the Norwegian PES NAV.

Description
Participants discussed the challenges and experiences around the integration of displaced people from Ukraine in Member States’ labour markets, based on presentations on:
- The Introduction Programme in Norway;
- NAV’s role in assisting Ukrainian refugees into the labour market;
- Experiences from Lithuania.
The meeting further overviewed the latest research on integration challenges and success factors, as well as the structure and update of the 2019 paper ‘PES Key Considerations on Labour Market Integration of Refugees’.
The meeting was attended by representatives of 10 PES – Austria, Belgium-VDAB, Finland, Germany, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovenia – and the European Commission. It follows on from the 1st WG meeting on the topic.
