Cross-border work in the EU and EFTA countries

In the EU and the EFTA around 1.8 Million workers regularly cross a country-border when going from their place of living to their place of employment. However, nature and volume of cross-border work depend very much on the regional context. This study investigates the volume of cross-border work at regional level and analyses the potential for targeted support in specific regions, thereby following up on an analysis conducted in the Intra-EU labour mobility report 2022.
