The European Union is offering the EaSI Technical Assistance webinar to representatives of the European microfinance sector, who are keen to learn about the unique synergy of experience between the FED Invest, Japan International Cooperation Agency and Albanian Government in establishing the ABA Center, that provides non-financial services to farmers in Albania. This webinar session is organised to share the best practices and lessons learned from establishing the center, completing its needs assessment analysis, developing, and piloting new solutions to roll-out and scale-up strategies. Announced speakers and moderators will also discuss how the experience could be leveraged by other stakeholders who could join the initiative to expand its outreach, ensure long-term sustainability and benefits for final beneficiaries.

Hiroko Tanaka, Consultant & Chief Advisor, FiAS Project-Albania
Ms. Hiroko Tanaka - a specialist in poverty reduction policies and strategies with ample working experience and geographical outreach to more than 20 countries across different continents, including the Asia-Pacific region, Middle East, and Africa. One of her recent works is focused on the financial inclusion of smallholder farmers and development of guidelines for mainstreaming financial inclusion in JICA-supported agriculture & rural development projects.
Perlat Sulaj, CEO of the Savings and Credit Association FED invest
Mr. Sulaj - is an advanced expert with over two decades years of experience in microfinance. Holding several Senior Management positions including those as Chief Risk Officer, Director of Operations, Director of Business Development, Chief Finance Officer, Chief Risk Officer. He has walked with organisations that grow from scratch to becoming microfinance formal financial institutions and banks.

The session targets primarily microfinance institutions (MFIs), banks or other institutions and individuals working in the microfinance sector in Europe.
