MoveS seminar France: Free movement of vulnerable workers

The EC-funded MoveS network (Free Movement and Social Security Coordination) will organise a seminar in Paris (France) on 7 February 2025.

The seminar is organised by MoveS in collaboration with its French national experts Sophie Robin-Olivier and Jean-Philippe Lhernould. MoveS is an EC-funded network of independent experts from 32 European countries coordinated by Eftheia and Deloitte.

The conference will address the specific challenges faced by a particular category of mobile workers, who can be described as vulnerable for a number of reasons, including low remuneration, precarious work contracts (part-time, fixed-term), and work or residence status (third-country nationals moving within the EU as family members or posted workers).

The objective of the conference is to identify and discuss the particular obstacles that these vulnerable workers face when moving within the EU, with a view to developing solutions to current problems. To that end, the conference brings together members of the EU Commission, academics from different Member States, and representatives of workers, employers, and the French labour administration.

In case you wish to participate in the seminar, please contact the MoveS management (moves [dot] seminarsateftheia [dot] eu (moves[dot]seminars[at]eftheia[dot]eu)). Participation is free of charge. Please note that all costs connected to the participation in the seminar (travel, accommodation) are at the participants' expense. Admission is subject to availability of seating.
