Know your rights at work – protected by the EU

• Free movement of workers in the EU: EU citizens are entitled to look for a job in another EU country and work and live there without a permit
• Strategy for Rights of Persons with disabilities: equal opportunities and human rights for all, without discrimination or exception
• Employment Equality Directive: discrimination on any grounds is prohibited across the EU
• Reinforced Youth Guarantee: all people under 30 in the EU should receive a good quality offer of employment, continued, education, apprenticeship or traineeship
• Decent Work Worldwide: promoting EU work rights by stopping child labour and forced labour around the world
• European Child Guarantee: ensuring that every child in Europe at risk of poverty or social exclusion has access to the most basic of rights like healthcare and education
• Proposal for a Directive on improving working conditions for platform workers – ensuring workers are fairly classified as employed or self-employed, and enjoy their rights accordingly
